Marionette Sometime in
the middle ages, a catholic priest thought of making a moving arm for a statue
of Mary. He tied a string to the arm and pulled the other end of the string
through a hole in the wall. When people came to the statue, he would pull the
string and the statue would raise her arm in a blessing gesture and thus a
miracle was born along with the name marionette (Marionette=small Mary). |
